"Now after two days he departed thence, and went into Galilee. For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honor in his own country. Then when he was come into Galilee, the Galileans received him, having seen all the things that he did at Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast." (John 4:43-45 KJV)
"Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother's womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things. Plant your seed in the mourning and keep busy all afternoon, for you don't know if profit will come from one activity or another - or maybe both." (Ecclesiastes 11:5-6 NLT)
Please don't think that I was complaining about my situation; that was me just letting know what I have accepted and considered to be my journey; for whatever it might be worth, I am basically content in this journey, it just sometimes feel good to vent a little frustration. Much like the statement Jesus makes, "that a prophet hath no honor in his own country," He is not complaining, per say, He was just making them aware of a truth, as frustrating as it might be the way that it is; it is what it is, so He deals with it by avoiding going there, altogether.
That said, there is another scenario going on here, much the opposite of that which is spoken above; which is the reason that the Galileans received Him. In truth, even I like to see a miraculous sign now and again; but I do not base what I believe on signs and wonders. The closest I might come to that, is the sign of Jesus Christ be risen; which I did not even witness, but it undeniably happened! Other than that, I am fixated on the Word of God, which pretty much is a miracle in itself, having so many prophecies that have been fulfilled; most of which are exactly what was predicted, hundreds, even thousands of years before they even happened.
As to the little wisdom from Solomon, it makes us understand that we must remain busy, even if we don't know what God might be up to, it is up to us to stay expectant; which basically means, we expect that God is going to do something, whatever it might be, it is His doing that gets it done. Isn't it all about profit? Maybe you don't understand how profit works; but it is simply planting a seed, and then expecting that something will come of it, through prayer or watering, or through both...
"And he began to teach them, saying, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. And he spake that saying openly. And Peter took him, and rebuked him. But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men." (Mark 8:31-33 KJV)
