"It was by faith that the people of Israel went right through the Red Sea as though they were on dry ground. But when the Egyptians tried to follow, they were all drowned." (Hebrews 11:29 NLT)
"And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island as called Melita. And the barbarous people showed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold. And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand. And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live. And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm. Howbeit, they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god." (Acts 28:1-6 KJV)
Not quite sure about this, but I had planned to continue the message from yesterday, but I decided that I said enough. If that which was said didn't make sense or wasn't understandable, then I will take the blame for not explaining a little more plainly. Besides that, Jesus lost a few followers when he shared about them eating His flesh and drinking His blood; so, it really is understandable!
I was thinking about something that could demonstrate what a leap of faith might look like; which made me think about this snakebite Paul encountered. There is something I feel was certain to Paul's heart, and that was the fact that God was taking him to Rome, and not even a snake was going to stop that from happening! After all that they had been through and then ending up shipwrecked, there is always faith that can be manifested, even in the greatest storms!
You just shake it off and trust that God will get you through, just as He promised...
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. I am the bread of life. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you."
