"For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:" (Hebrews 9:24 KJV)
"Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are. Against its will, all creation was subjected to God's curse. But with eager hope, the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God's children in glorious freedom from death and decay." (Romans 8:18-21 NLT)
Looking at this from the way it is meant to be, there are certain things we need to understand about the way things really are, most of which, are the things that are really not our fault. The moment I was born into this world, I was destined to have a sin nature; not that I wanted it that way, but because it was passed down and, in my blood; that blood, which was in Adam, passed down through all generations.
Most people don't really realize that, but we really don't have a choice; at least not until we are born again; then it is a whole different life, because we are living by the blood of Christ! Not that our blood has been changed, because it still remains the same; but by the blood of Christ, we who have been saved are completely purified and set apart. What was once something we could not control, has now become that which is controllable, by the power of the Holy Spirit that lives in us.
There is now a choice! If you really don't understand what I am talking about, it is really not that hard to figure out. The power of sin over our lives has been broken, the curse handed down from Adam has been removed, and we are no longer obligated to follow that old sin nature; we have been renewed and now obligated to walk in the Spirit!
This is not something we can do on our own! If we try to do it on our own, we will fail, again and again; over and over, until we become totally broken! Not really the kind of choice you want, because at that condition, your only choice is complete surrender...
"Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God's laws, and it never will. That's why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. But you at not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.) And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God." (Romans 8:5-10 NLT)
