"For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more." (Hebrews 8:12 KJV)
"Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding." (Ephesians 1:4-8 NLT)
As I was saying, (trying to hold back my tears,) Jesus came into this world in the most vulnerable way He could; and He made Himself vulnerable, when He went to the cross! Paul has thrown those two words onto his message: "wisdom and understanding," mostly because it is true! This is not just something we learn by ourselves; when we have the Holy Spirit living in us, we know and understand certain things, we could have never figured out on our own.
Much like the New Life that Jesus was trying to get Nicodemus to understand, it really doesn't happen until you are Born Again; only then can you truly see and understand what God has done to save us! As much as we were lost, before we accepted Christ into our heart, we were also unable to see the miracle of our salvation! "It just couldn't be that easy," is what we would think or say! Well, it was easy for us to do what we needed to do; but it really wasn't for Jesus, or for the Father!
Hopefully that doesn't offend anyone that might think God's ability to do anything, makes it easy for Him to do what He did, in order to save us, because He too has a heart...
"For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16 NLT)
