"Prescribed by Reason"

"For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:" (Hebrews 8:4 KJV)

"Then Jesus went from Galilee to the Jordan River to be baptized by John. But John tried to talk him out of it. "I am the one who needs to be baptized by you," he said, "so way are you coming to me?" But Jesus said, "It should be done, for we must carry out all that God requires." So John agreed to baptize him." (Matthew 3:13-15 NLT)

For anyone that doesn't know what, "Interlude," means, it is basically a pause; when you stop to think about how this applies and how it should be applied to our own lives. Other than that. it means to stop and listen; or, if you are not inclined to make it spiritual, it could mean it's time change the tune, or there is that which is also a pause, or just a musical melody. It is "Selah" in the KJV version. Personally, I like my use of the word more, because it is important that we apply God's word to our lives, absorbing and observing every precept, and even reading between the lines!

As it goes, Jesus was not a Levite, so He wouldn't have served in the Tempel or even performed the baptism that John performed on Him. John, on the other hand was born of the tribe of Levi as his father was a priest at the time he was born. There is so many little things we see, that, let's say, complete the picture and verify the truth of God's word...

"All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT)
