"Good Things to Come"

"Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us." (Hebrews 9:11 KJV)

"So it is clear that no one can be made right with God by trying to keep the law. For the Scriptures say, "It is only though faith that a righteous person has life." This way of faith is very different from the way of law, which says, "It is through obeying the law that a person has life." But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith." (Galatians 3:11-14 NLT)

Having been in that condition of failing to obey God's commandments, (as I truly believe that I have broken ever one,) I can honestly say that it doesn't take a whole lot of effort or thought to realize what it means to be saved and have all my sins forgiven. The baggage and to heavy load we sometimes bear, are not only lifted from us, but we are given the Holy Spirit to reinforce and help us to complete the journey!

I sometimes forget that He is there; if you can understand what that actually means. There is just so much that distracts us from being focused on the Spirits leading and guiding, we can find ourselves doing things on our own, without asking for help or guidance. If you don't have that ever happening in your life, good for you! That puts you in a very special category of believers, because all most everyone has some sort of missing the mark of perfection.

Thankfully, we have obtained eternal redemption! Which, in case you might not know, means that we are no longer the one who is in charge, no matter what you might think or do, your life has been purchased by the blood of Christ! If you fall away and walk away from the Lord, as bad as that might be; if you are truly His, then it will only be temporary; even if that means your life here is over, you're still His!

If for some reason you don't believe that is so, then you need to start believing in what He has done and why His redemption is eternal. If you have begun a New Life in Christ, He will complete what He has done, even if it requires taking you home. There are certain things I truly believe are unchangeable, one of which is the redemption that takes place when we truly believe and receive Jesus into our hearts: He will never leave us or forsake us, ever...

"Dear children, the last hour is here. You have heard that the Antichrist is coming, and already many such antichrist have appeared. From this we know that the last hour has come. These people left our churches, but they never really belonged with us; otherwise they would have stayed with us. When they left, it proved that they did not belong with us. But you are not like that, for the Holy One has given you his Spirit, and all of you know the truth. So I am writing to you not because you don't know the truth but because you know the difference between truth and lies. And who is a liar? Anyone who says that Jesus in not the Christ. Anyone who denies the Father and the Son is an antichrist. Anyone who denies the Son doesn't have the Father, either. But anyone who acknowledges the Son has the Father also. So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father. And in this fellowship we enjoy the eternal life he promised us." (1 John 2:18-25 NLT)
