"All this have I proved by wisdom: I said, I will be wise; but it was far from me." (Ecclesiastes 7:23 KJV)
"Then Job replied to the LORD: "I know that you can do anything, and no one can stop you. You asked, 'Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorance?' It is I - and I was talking about things I knew nothing about, things far too wonderful for me. You said, 'Listen and I will speak! I have questions for you, and you must answer them.' I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes. I take back everything I said, and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance."" (Job 42:1-6 NLT)
I am pretty sure that when I get into heaven, (which is one thing I know will happen,) that there will be people I expected to be there that are not, and others that I didn't expect to be there that will be. But, more than anything else, I hope to have a welcoming committee, of at least a few people, that I was able to be a part of their decision to follow Jesus!
Job was a man that loved the LORD. When things happened that turned his life upside-down, he refused to curse God or stop believing that God was in control; instead, he did wonder why and made himself feel as though he was just a bag of sand. We really can't see what or why certain things happen; we only see what is here and now, but here and now doesn't show us much of anything, because this world is only temporary, and real world that is all around us is eternal.
It is really not that hard to get doubtful over what is real and what we are taught to believe; but that is why God has given us His written word! There is absolutely no way for the Bible to have come together, without God's doing it, of this, I am absolutely certain! If you doubt it, then you need to take the challenge of trying to prove that it isn't so.
God said it, I believe it, that settles it...
"All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, and we have a priceless inheritance - an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed in the last day for all to see." (1 Peter 1:3-5 NLT)
