"Encountered" - To

"That which is far off, and exceeding deep, who can find it out?" (Ecclesiastes 7:24 KJV)

""Can you solve the mysteries of God? Can you discover everything about the Almighty? Such knowledge is higher than the heavens - and who are you? It is deeper than the underworld - what do you know?" (Job 11:7-8 NLT)

In addition to this encounter, which was really not my doing, the Lord showed me what I needed, why I needed to be saved, and how much I needed to believe in Him. These were the things I really needed to be shown, because I never was going to be looking for them on my own; and even if I wanted to try, how would I find them?

When Jesus came into my life, my life was turned upside-down! Things which I once thought were so important, didn't seem as once did; being away from home, was still a desire, but I felt free where I was at, because now I had a purpose; the Lord was teaching me and helping me to share His word. What was once just words on pages in a book, were now lessons and messages that spoke to me! I wasn't just reading about somebody else; these stories and messages were for me and my journey, as well as the encounters we all share together.

It is because of that, that my faith is in the Lord, not based upon my own choosing, because He is the one that chose me! If it were up to me, I would have still been lost and dead, thinking that I was okay and alive; living as though I had everything under control. Wow, there is the main reason we needed to consider surrendering our lives again: If we think we have everything under control, we are only fooling ourselves and not counting on the Lord, but ourselves...

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart: do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Don't be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the LORD and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones. Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine." (Proverbs 3:5-10 NLT)
