"He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. He that receiveth his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true." (John 3:31-33 KJV)
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this." (Isaiah 9:6-7 KJV)
Whether or not we can understand what everything means, is not really what we should be worried about, because we are not meant to understand everything, only what we know to be true. For some, that is just not enough; if they cannot see the whole, then they cannot receive The Sum! Basically, the only way we can get to that point, is not by trying to figure everything out, but by simply believing God is true!
Really, this is something that is between you and God; no one can convince you or persuade you into any kind of belief, because if that were so, then someone else could get you to change your mind. This is a matter of believing within your own heart, making it sure, and then trusting that God fortify your heart. You will know in your heart that it is true; your mind will sometimes wonder, but your heart will know what is true and what is false.
Do you know why I know that is so? Because He is living in my heart! It is abundantly clear what is what; and just in case I don't know the answer, I know the Sum, so the particulars are not really my real concern. If you know how it is going to end, you really don't need to worry about the trials or the storms along the way! Just am observation, in case you are wondering...
"In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: that we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of salvation: in whom also, after that ye believed, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory." (Ephesians 1:11-14 KJV)
