"Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father." (John 4:21 KJV)
"For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more." (Hebrews 10:14-17 KJV)
As many of you are aware, our bodies are now temples of God; for if the Holy Spirit dwells within you, He being God, then your body is now a Temple for the Holy Spirit to dwell within. Something to think about next time you want to defile your body, you will defiling God's Temple!
Regardless of what we might do, or don't do, if you are born again, you have been re-born of God's Spirit; which basically means, that death which took place in the garden by Adam's sin, has been canceled out by a new covenant, one that gives life; the life of God's Spirit back into our lives. What was once taken away by sin, has now been reconnected by the blood of Jesus Christ!
The question keeps coming up again and again: Can what God has done in you be undone? If you walk away from your salvation, will you be damned, or will you still inherit eternal life? Man, I really wish there was something else to talk about; but it keeps nagging at my heart, every time I hear someone say it is not guaranteed!
What is not guaranteed is what happens in this life! If you want to be blessed and live a good life, then be blessed and live rightly! If you think that you can do what you want without paying the price, you will be sadly mistaken; there will be a price paid for both good and evil. Just because our sins have been removed and we have life in Christ, does not remove results for our actions.
Believe what you want, but those five foolish virgins were Believers; they were just not in fellowship with the Lord because they were too busy doing their own thing. If we want to be ready when He comes, then we need to be ready at all times! Think about how that looks as you plan your day...
"Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lust thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace." (Romans 6:9-14 KJV)
