"And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven." (John 3:13 KJV)
""This command I am giving you today is not too difficult for you to understand, and it is not beyond your reach. It is not kept in heaven, so distant that you must ask, 'Who will go up to heaven and bring it down so we can hear it and obey?' It is not kept beyond the sea, so far away that you must ask, 'Who will cross the sea to bring it to us so we can hear it and obey?' No, the message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart so that you can obey it."" (Deuteronomy 30:11-14 NLT)
Not that it needs to be explained, but the whole meaning of continuity is that it is unbroken. If you are looking for the Truth, you will discover that it has that principle secured to it, as it does not leap or skip around in all sorts of directions, jumping from one speculation to the next; which is the property involved with lies. Lies cannot flow from one fact to another, they cannot pull that off, because they are lies!
Interesting stuff; but what do we see happening before us today? I would caution you to not try and take the first definition you get for the word, instrumentality, as it will most likely send you into orbit or into the cosmos; at the very least, you might get tangled up in language or the structure of sentences; probably a good topic for me to look into.
Basically, it refers to, in this setting, "as the fact or quality of serving as an instrument or means to an end." Or, if you so choose, the WAY!!! Thee Instrument! If you want to know why Doctor Chuck was so interested in that movie, The Thirteenth Floor, then this verse might have something to do with that. Just a little observation.
Which makes me wonder, How is it possible for Jesus to be in two places at once? What might be the properties involved in the ability to be here, there, and everywhere? I might need to stop, so I don't get too overwhelmed by trying to think outside the box. But if the Way is the one and only way, then the Way must contain some sort of unmovable properties...
"The Scriptures tell us, "The first man, Adam, became a living person. But the last Adam - that is, Christ - is a life-giving Spirit. What comes first is the natural body, then the spiritual body comes later. Adam, the first man, was made from the dust of the earth, while Christ, the second man, came from heaven. Earthly people and like the earthly man, and heavenly people are like the heavenly man. Just as we are now like the earthly man, we will someday be like the heavenly man. What I am saying, dear brothers and sisters, is that our physical bodies cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. These dying bodies cannot inherit what will last forever." (1 Corinthians 15:45-50 NLT)
