"His head is as the most fine gold, his locks are bushy, and black as a raven." (S.O.S. 5:11)
Getting a little closer to the day, we are soon going to be able to see for ourselves what "most fine gold" actually means; in the meantime, just imagine it means precious pure gold, refined to the purest! In the arena of ideas, God has spared nothing to make this ultimate plan of His foolproof and spotless; He has made every effort to insure perfect perfection, void of any mistakes, and free of any misjudgments. As we see with the Revelation of Jesus Christ, those that surround the throne, are constantly singing His praises, saying, "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, which is, and is to come." (Revelation 4:8)
There seems to be a great deal of confusion in the area of the Trinity, as many there are who just don't understand how there can be only One God, yet there are three very distinct persons. To be quite frank, if you really want to understand the Holy Trinity, you must begin by understanding the Son! All of those that have wrote of Him, all refer to Him as the manifestation of the invisible God, in one way or another, He is shown as God being shown! For example, John refers to Jesus and the Word, saying, "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." (John 1:14)
To the image of that which we can pretend to see in our minds, "precious pure gold, refined to the purest," is as close as we can get to seeing the Father, by witnessing the Son! Jesus clearing said, many times over, "I AM," which being interpreted means: If you want to see God, you need not look any further! (John 8:19) I know many brothers and sisters that cannot imagine how this works, but it all starts with believing on the Son; He is the only way to the Father! Anywho, that addresses the that; now we see that which is draped upon the Head.
Seeing the description John gives in Revelation 1:14, he says, "His head and his hairs were white like wool, a white as snow," which describes Him as, "The Ancient of Days," from Daniel 7:9; yet in this instance He is shown with hair black, as black as a raven. To be frank again, He is one in the same; He never goes old, but is here since the beginning! You really don't even need to try and figure it out; it is way to far above our pay-grade; we simply believe that it is so, and keep our mind set upon Him!
Besides, if you are interested, it is the heart that steers the ship, or vessel...
"In fact, it says, "The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart." And that message is the very message about faith that we preach: If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced."" (Romans 10:8-11) NLT
