"Hesitation"

"I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor wake my love, till he please." (S.O.S. 3:5)

Not so fast, is the indication that I see; as it so happens, as the wind blows; a whirlwind of sorts, that is more than the average person can lay hold of, and without any handles to grab hold, or slow it down. And still, it might be a dream? Why not; if it has no way to slow it down, no stops or levers to make the dream sequence controlled or stand still, then that makes perfect sense.
As much as I might like to, I cannot cleanse myself; no matter how hard I try, no matter how many times I repent; it is only by surrendering my life to Christ Jesus and making Him Lord, then and only then, will this uncontrollable ride make any sense! To put this in a little better perspective: We must not wait to get our life to be right, as if there are some issues or things we need to take care of before we are worthy or prepared to serve or be used by God; it isn't going to work, because there is only one way to slow that whirlwind down, and that is to simply jump inside and enjoy the ride!
I know that this might be a little strange, a little out of sorts; but the point is not that we are ever going to be prepared or groomed for what God has prepared or groomed us for; it just doesn't work that way. If you come expecting a certain outcome or a prescribed journey, then you are going to be greatly displeased and discouraged. Any time we think that we have it all figured out or under control, we find out rather quickly, we are merely an empty pot of clay, needing to be filled!
As I mentioned before, God's grace is overwhelming! Just as that mother eagle gets her young to fly, it requires us to be pushed out of the nest, to be forced into the dive, and to simply spread our wings...

"Obviously, the law applies to those to whom it was given, for its purpose is to keep people from having excuses, and to show that the entire world is guilty before God. For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are." (Romans 3:19-20) NLT
