"All the earth shall worship Thee, and shall sing unto Thee; they shall sing unto Thy name. Selah." (Psalms 66:4) Whether you realize this or not, we were created to worship God. It is by far the best experience that we can have in this life, and it will be the air that we breath in the next. I really don't know how it is all going to happen, but sooner or later everyone is going to bow down and worship the Lord, even His enemies! As I was praying about this and reflecting upon yesterday's rant, I realized how close we are to getting out of here; I can't imagine how it could get anymore obvious, because all the signs are pointing to today is the day to get ready. Jesus said that we would not know the day or the hour, but we would know the season; and this my friend is pretty much it! Yesterday seemed rather enjoyable compared to most days lately, because I made sure to start off my day giving God ten percent of my time; which is not even really mine, but it belongs to Him. If we are to count everything that we have as God's, shouldn't our time be counted also? If you really stop and think about it, what makes the most lasting difference in your relationships, giving them money, or spending time with them? Shouldn't that matter with God also? Something I learned quite some time ago, is that you always seem like your running out of time when your thinking of doing something you need to be doing while your doing something else; it's like that rabbit with the watch in Alice in Wonderland, always in a hurry to get somewhere else. Now, I know this might sound alarming to some, but time is something that God has created for us while we are living on this earth; once we are done here, the clock stops ticking...
"Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. They will say, "What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created." They deliberately forget that God made the heavens by the word of his command, and he brought the earth out from the water and surrounded it with water. Then he used the water to destroy the ancient world with a mighty flood. And by the same word, the present heavens and earth have been stored up for fire. They are being kept for the day of judgement, when ungodly people will be destroyed. But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. The Lord isn't really slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent." (2 Peter 3:3-9) NLT
