"I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, not yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all." (Ecclesiastes 9:11 KJV)
"God has now revealed to us his mysterious plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill his own good pleasure. And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under authority of Christ everything in heaven and on earth. Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan." (Ephesians 1:9-11 NLT)
Sometimes we get hung up on trying to figure out what went wrong, or why something might be taking place in our lives, while we forget to think about the big picture: God is good and loves us; He has good plans for us, and even though we are feeling defeated or as if we are losing a battle, He has made a way for failure and weakness to become victory and strength!
If you don't know what 'Paradigm' means, there are several ways that it is used to be an example or pattern, such as might be discovered in a theoretical framework. If we could think for a moment what is shown by the law of gravity, it basically shows that there is force the will take you to the ground if you jump of a cliff; without wings, you do not affect that pattern.
In this same theoretical framework, faith tells us that God is for us; as His children, we are cherished and protected; and regardless of which type or trial or tribulation we might go through here, we will always fall up into His loving arms! This is not a really a theory, it is our faith and hope! If we believe God's word, then it becomes more real than the law of gravity.
By the way, as fast as this earth is spinning, and as quick as it is traveling around the sun, there should really not be anything that is secure on this earth; it should be flying off in all sorts of directions. But God makes things that work! Even the bad things that happen, God can make them work for good...
"Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are. Against its will, all creation was subjected to God's curse. But with eager hope, the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God's children in glorious freedom from death and decay. For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us. We were given this hope when we were saved. (If we already have something, we don't need to hope for it. But is we look forward to something we don't yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.)" (Romans 8:18-25 NLT)
