"For out of prison he cometh to reign; whereas also he that is born in his kingdom becometh poor." (Ecclesiastes 4:14 KJV)
"In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought life to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it." (John 1:1-5 NLT)
"Whereas also he that is born in his kingdom becometh poor," says more to this matter than some might think! Whatever Solomon saw, it was either not enough to explain everything, or it was too much to be able to explain more than he could. But it is pretty obvious that this pictures Jesus!
Some might put this on Agrippa, but in this section of the verse, also is seemingly attached to "he," as if there are two scenarios to go by; one refers to that to which he went, the other refers to that from which he came. Not that it matters, sense we already know all of the details from the four Gospels: but just for the sake of visions, Jesus came into the world that He created, and owned nothing put the cloths He wore!
Literally, even at the time of His birth, there was no bed for Him to lay His sweet head; even though He was the Son of God, He was poor...
"He came into the very world he created, but the world didn't recognize him. He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn - not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God. So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father's one and only Son." (John 1:10-14 NLT)
