"Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth." (John 12:35 KJV)
"This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin." (1 John 1:5-7 NLT)
Have you ever had a crazy dream that leaves you feeling like you have been there before, but you see yourself from a different perspective? I know that sounds odd, but I am pretty sure God still speaks to us in our dreams. Usually, the point on those types of dreams indicate it is time to either make a move or stop something that you might plan on doing.
If you have ever seen the movie, "Holy Roller," then you might remember that the Pastor in that movie decided to move into the city and get a real job, because he felt as though being a Pastor was not paying the bills. Long story short, there are directional indicators in the movie, which are crosswalk signals, that point up or down depending upon the direction that his new ministry is going.
I don't think we have those type of indicators to assist us, as nice as it would be to know when we are headed in the right direction or the wrong direction; but we do have the Light of God living within us, which goes from shinning, to not shinning, depending upon on the direction we are going! Don't pretend that you don't know when you are in the Light or not in the Light, because we always know when we offend the Holy Spirit!
We must live in the Light! Stop being foolish and walking in spiritual darkness; there is only one way to make that happen, and that is to turn around and change direction! Pray always, read God's word as often as you can, every day and throughout the day, and by all means, obey the Holy Spirit!
Simple as that might sound, it takes practice to make it work! As soon as you skip a chance, you will skip another, and then another; until you find yourself not going in the right direction again; and then again; and again, you will need to change direction!
Whatever you do, do not give up! You have a Father that loves you, is always making a way for you to carry on, and will always, always, always forgive you for your sins! You know what sin is? It is missing the mark! You can't even come close to the mark if you are headed in the wrong direction...
"If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts." (1 John 1:8-10 NLT)
