"The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record." (John 12:17 KJV)
"Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power. I will meditate on your majestic, glorious splendor and your wonderful miracles. Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue; I will proclaim your greatness. Everyone will share the story of your wonderful goodness; they will sing with joy about your righteousness." (Psalm 145:4-7 NLT)
Well, this is pretty deep! I know you know this, but Jacob was the kind of guy that loved to dig wells; most of which, he ended up leaving behind for others to use; that is, if they did not steal them. I hope you understand what I mean, because if your testimony doesn't get shared, the enemy might steal it from you!
Anywho, this might be a touchy subject for some, because not everyone has the same wonderful life that they lived, prior to meeting Jesus. This never gets old, but you have a treasure buried inside of you that needs to be shared and given out. It might not seem all that important to you, as you have grown away from those days of old; but these are the things that brought you to understand your need for a Savior!
Last month we were blessed to hear a message about the importance of listening and obeying God's instructions; because a life could be lost or saved, based upon your reaction. That might not seem so real, unless your life has been spared because someone reached out and called you, exactly when God told them to give you a call. Then it becomes really serious and important.
To be perfectly honest, most of us are not really that obedient, especially when it comes to doing what we are told to do, right when we are told to do it. At least I know how it is with me, I am such a failure when it comes to living in the moment.
Additionally, most of us also don't really know what happens on the other side of the call. We might get a word from God to do something, then we do it, but never get to see what happened by what we have done. This too is hidden treasure! Something we will get to share in, once we arrive in heaven...
"All your works will thank you, LORD, and your faithful followers will praise you. They will speak of the glory of your kingdom; they will give examples of your power. They will tell about your mighty deeds and about the majesty and glory of your reign. For your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. You rule throughout all generations." (Psalm 145:10-13 NLT)
