"I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me." (John 8:18 KJV)
"But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children. And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, "Abba, Father." Now you are no longer a slave but God's own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir." (Galatians 4:4-7 NLT)
Look at this as something we can point to for proof, because the way I see it, if God has declared it so, then there is really nothing else that needs to be proven! If you know your Bible, this is pretty much a settled case of proven identity: God said He would do it and how, and Jesus was living proof that it was done. One declared it to be, the other was the manifestation of what was declared: Proven!
Do you need further clarification? Okay, in summary of the proof, it was basically three steps, and then the podium. The first was the declaration God made to Satan regarding Eve's seed, in Genesis 3:15, "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." This was the declaration that Jesus would come to defeat the devil, and that He would come being born of a virgin; as the woman has no seed, but has an egg, the seed comes from a man.
Yes, I know, that is purely based upon the interpretation of the Text; so I will choose to agree with that interpretation, if you don't mind! There are several more examples of proof, if you are no convinced that God was making that point regarding the virgin birth. But the second proof is the actual virgin that was implanted with God's seed, Mary, the mother of Jesus. As the angel sent from God declared to her: "The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God." (Luke 1:35)
The third proof was when Jesus was baptized, as the Father declared Himself, saying, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." (Matthew 3:17) Which brings the testimony of the Son into the right and privilege to stand up to the podium and declare Himself as a witness, being the actual One! He who was, and is, and is to come!
Besides all of that, there are still many, who call themselves followers of Christ, but do not believe in the virgin birth...
"Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and call his name Emmanuel." (Isaiah 7:14 KJV)
