"But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me." (John 7:29 KJV)
"Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof. Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice before the LORD, for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with truth." (Psalms 96:11-13 KJV)
So, it does make me wonder why, but I don't worry about it, nonetheless! I believe that there is no other way that anyone can be saved, but to put their trust in Jesus Christ and His finished work upon that cross! Call that being narrow-minded, if you will; but it is what it is, and there is nothing we can do to change what God has established, from the beginning of existence.
When I first got saved, I created a crossword puzzle based upon the Scriptures that spoke of Jesus. It took me a few weeks to do, but it was amazingly anointed by the Holy Spirit. If I recall correctly, the Old Testament Scriptures were the across words, and the New Testament were the down words. Each of the blank spaces were in the center and spelled out the name Jesus.
I only say this because I was totally and completely overwhelmed by knowing the real Jesus! All my life I had been told that Jesus was someone or something else; anything else, except that He was God. So, you can imagine my excitement in finding the truth; so much so, I had to explore all those missing verses that I had previously overlooked.
Having learned what Jesus did upon the cross, it totally changed the way I felt about God's love for me. Before, I believed that God loved me, but it was more about His love for the entire world, and it just so happened that I was included. This must be personal and must receive it whole-heartedly! There must be a personal relationship between you and your Creator!
This is what I believe Jesus did for us, besides the eternal life thing, this is ten times better! He has closed the gap between us and Him! The blood of Christ washes us clean and allows us to enter into the Holies of Holies, as we get to fellowship with the Eternal Father, no doubt, as one of His children...
"He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." (John 1:10-14 KJV)
