"Speaking Rights"

"Thy lips are like a thread of scarlet, and the speech is comely: thy temples are like a piece of a pomegranate within thy locks." (S.O.S. 4:3)

I must admit, this was a bit much, (no pun intended,) it is the part of the story that makes the Story worth telling; whether you know it or not, we are part of His story! By the way, "occupy," actually speaks about us doing something with what we have been given; to put what He has given us to work! Not that we must actually become full time ministers or join a mission; but that we are His servants and actually look for opportunities to serve Him, in whatever is put before us.

We are given His Spirit to speak out and to be ready to share what we have been given; it is not just that we are able to share, but that we are responsible for sharing what we know and the grace we have been given. Mercy is wonderful and is received with humility and thanksgiving; grace make us worthy to say and proclaim our right standing with God, not because we have earned it, but because He has given us the right and responsibility to proclaim it.

To put this in a little better light, it is the power of  the upright in spirit, the ability to speak the truth because, not only do you now the truth, but because the truth is within you, waiting to come out. In other words, we are born again as new babies in Christ, the old language we once had is new also; now we are to learn, practice, and speak about heaven and reconciliation to God!

But maybe I am just confused by the amount of smoke in the air, because it is really thick and I find myself breathing shallow short breathes. Or maybe, just maybe, we are really equipped to speak out! Besides that, the whole reason the feet of those that proclaim Good News are beautiful is not because their feet look good, it is that their feet made them step out and brought them where there; therefore: "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." (2 Corinthians 5:21)

Please pray today that God will give you the chance to share what you have been given, and see where that might take you...

"And since we have been made right in God's sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God's condemnation. For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God." (Romans 5:9-11) NLT
