"In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel." (Psalms 76:1) I know it's complicated, but if you truly believe that God is Omniscient, then you have removed a whole lot of complication from the equation. Be it as it may, whatever the case, no one will question God's judgment on that day, because God is Holy and His Light will reveal everything and every one will see the light, or darkness, which ever be the case. As I was watching 'God's Not Dead 2' yesterday, I was reminded how important it really is to share Jesus. In other words, we need to make the discussion about Jesus Christ, not just speak of God in general. In the movie, the girl that had her brother die, had a question for her teacher which led to a lawsuit; but the question put forth in the classroom was not the question that mattered most. The question that mattered most, was the one that the girl asked her teacher in private, way before the classroom question ever came about. She asked her teacher, "What makes you keep it all together?" And her teacher replied, "Jesus." That was the seed that made all the difference; because next she discovered her dead brother's Bible, and she began to read all of his notes and highlighted Scriptures. To really make our testimony count, it has got to declare the One who makes it count, Jesus! Without Jesus Christ we are without hope, so to express the hope inside of us, we need to give an answer for that hope! It is impossible to express that hope without telling people that are sins have been forgiven and we have eternal life in Christ Jesus, the Resurrection and the Life! Also in that movie, one of the expert witnesses was a detective who researched the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. His research was based upon eyewitness accounting, looking at the common thread of information, and coming to a conclusion based upon the facts that were revealed. In his closing statement, he spoke about how he had started as an Atheist on a mission to disprove that Christ even existed; but by the time he was done with his research, he had become a Believer. There really is no question that Jesus ever lived, even secular history records that; the question really is all about, "Who do you believe that He is?" That's the question which rips people apart and causes division among those that believe and those that refuse to believe...
"When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?" "Well," they replied, "some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets." Then he asked them, "But who do you say I am?" Simon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the Living God." Jesus replied, "You are blessed, Simon son of John, because my Father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being. Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means 'rock'), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.""
