"God's Economy" - Two

"For who can eat, or who else can hasten hereunto, more than I?" (Ecclesiastes 2:25 KJV)

"God's purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord." (Ephesians 3:10-11 NLT)

On a little different playing field, there is the area of 'administration,' which is the way God gets things done! Although money might be what moves the economy of this world, there is a whole different world all around us, which Paul refers to as "all the unseen world, and the authorities in the heavenly places." Whether you believe it or not, it is more real than this which is seen, because it is an eternal realm, that is manifested in a whole different dimension.

We won't get too carried away with that now, because it is coming up soon, when we deal with time; but God's way of doing the impossible, although we can't explain it, they are manifested for a whole different world and for reasons that go way beyond our thoughts and reasonings. Probably the topics that should be skipped; no pun intended!

What I believe Solomon might be saying, maybe even without knowing what he is saying, is that he has the greatest example of what God can do, with or without, much human effort! I know, it might seem a little crazy, but it really doesn't need to make any sense, because most of what God does won't, at least not to the world that we currently are living in!

The death of Jesus on the cross, might be the most talked about of all. People who do not believe, do not get it; they cannot understand it, because it doesn't involve this, whatever it is that you want to call it: earth, life, living, mortality; you don't see it, because it is based on something you cannot see or comprehend, until you are in it! And even then, you sometimes might take your eyes off of it!

Jesus explained this to Nicodemus, saying, "I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God." (John 3:3 NLT) This is something that this world cannot understand; but it is more real than all this stuff that is currently being lived for! All of which is just smoke and mirrors, compared to that which is to come!

Looking at the first part of his statement, "for who can eat," the word eat is represented as to devour or to burn up; to devour, consume, destroy, all of which, by the way, is that which is this, the fate of this life as we know it. The second part, "or who can hasten hereunto," without getting too carried away, means to hurry something alone; figuratively, to be eager with excitement or enjoyment. Come Quickly is also a root meaning, which then leads to "more," as in, "more than I," with a question mark!

What a strange word this is, 'more,' which is the word "hus" which is pronounced as, khoots; a masculine noun, which comes from an unused root meaning to sever. The most used definition is "without," but the most common Biblical usage is: Outside, Outward, Street, The Outside.

Maybe it isn't what it looks like; but things always don't seem as they appear...

"That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won't last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don't look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down, (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands. We grow weary in our present bodies, and we long to put on our heavenly bodies like new clothing." (2 Corinthians 4:16 - 5:2 NLT)
