"For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: that all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him." (John 5:22-23 KJV)
""Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn others, or it will come back against you. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven. Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full - pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back."" (Luke 6:37-38 NLT)
Regardless of what you believe about the Rapture of the church, I seriously doubt that it is going to affect your salvation. It may cause you to let your guard down; but if you love the Lord, it should be, regardless of the time, that you will be looking up and waiting to be with Him; here, there, or in the air!
Just so happens, I heard Pastor Jeff giving a message yesterday morning on the Rapture, right off the bat, as soon as I was in my truck and headed down the road. He reminded me that we do not know the day or the hour; which I fully understand, because that is exactly what Jesus said, so it must be true. However, days and hours are various times, no matter what circumstances and situations might be going on in the present, you are either ready or you are not. A twinkling of an eye is instant and can come all of the sudden, so it is practical to be anytime God wants it to be.
Anywho; this is quite the complex statement that Jesus makes to these Jewish leaders; it must have made there heads spin, just trying to comprehend what the word honor actually means. Honour or honoureth, they are all the same word, so there shouldn't have been any misunderstanding: basically, it means that there is value, much as if you value something that belongs to yourself. Curious about how that might work?
Well, it is a little like the idea about plucking out your eye, or cutting off your good arm. Strange as that might seem, but if you honor your eye and your good arm, you will value it more than that thing you might do with them which does not honor God! Seriously, this is not a play on words; it is the Judge letting these Jewish guys know what is what!
Now, about this title; "The Separation," is the part that judging is all about! Just so you know, the people that think they deserve heaven, are most likely not candidates to be picked to go there; sorry to say, it is just the way it turns out, in a strange sort of way. Actually, it is rather simple, not strange at all; because, if you really get right down to it, none of us deserve to go to heaven, unless Jesus has personally given you the key...
"For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past, for he was looking ahead and included them in what he would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate his righteousness, for he himself is fair and just, and he declares sinners to be right in his sight when they believe in Jesus. Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on obeying the law. It is based on faith, So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law." (Romans 3:25-28 NLT)
