"I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee." (Psalms 138:1)
So, just in case you might have missed it, we were talking about the Word of God; simple thing to remember about how that works: God says it and it is done! No ifs ands or buts! Here is something to ponder, if you want to stimulate your mind: When Jesus made the water into wine, was it wine in those water-pots, or did it become wine when it was poured out? How about this: When God said, "Let there be light," did the light just appear, or was it waiting for something to reveal it? What kind of hocus-pocus kind of stuff are we talking about! God said it, and it was done; end of story! It really does not matter how it happen or what was required to make it happen: God does what He does without or with whatever He chooses: He is God, and everything was made by Him, and He can make something, anything, from nothing! It is a little like trying to have a conversation with anyone that does not believe the accounts in the Bible are true, say like the account of Adam and Eve being the only two that God created. How do you make sense of the doubt? Don't even try, that is my best advice; because we need to focus upon what God says, not what is said by those that don't believe what He says is true. This is something that I believe David is trying to get us to focus upon, to make all doubt and speculation be gone; don't even give it the light of day! This is how we praise God with a whole heart, by not paying any attention to the doubt and by not giving any value whatsoever to the speculation. It is all about God's Word being truth, and everyone else that does not agree with it is either a liar or someone that has bought into the lie. There is how we get boldness to sing before gods, because there is really only One God, and He is the one that we sing to! If you need a really good example of how this looks, I would remind of the three your Jewish boys, named, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego...
"Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego? do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up? Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of music, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is the God that shall deliver you out of my hands? Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up." (Daniel 3:14-18)
