"Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth." (Psalms 124:8)
There might be a little confusion in the world about all of this; but there should not be any of it within the church. Sadly, that is not the case! I know we cannot all be in agreement on everything, but on the basic principles of God, His Grace, and the cross of Christ, we had better get it together! Do you realize that their are some Christians that believe you can be good and make it into heaven? I might think it can be possible for a child, a small child, to get that chance, or even someone that has never heard the message of the cross; but to think that someone who has heard the message, refused the message, and then tried to make it based upon works; I beg to differ, but their are Scriptures that will refute that claim. Besides, why would you want to take a chance like that? Another type of freedom that we have been given, is freedom from condemnation! (John 3:17-21) Just do what God wants us to do, and then feel the weight lifted off of your shoulders! It is really just that easy! I am sorry, but I just needed to get that off of my chest. Anywho, we are wrapping this up; "God Protects His People," was what the title said, and God protects His people is what this is all about; whether you believe it or not! I know I might have gone a little bit outside the margins, but it was for a reason, because this grace that we have been given, freely given, also does the same! That was the whole point of 1 Kings 9:4, and the whole, "Audience of One," God gets to decide who is guilty and who is not, Him and Him only! And guess what? God's people are never guilty! "As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us." (Psalms 103:12) That was David's Psalms about God's love; that was David's heart after God, that he knew how much God loved him! Because he knew God loved him, he was God's prize possession; but that is just a small part of the great mystery, because God knows who are His way before they know it themselves. So, at what point are God's people protected? I can tell you from personal experience, it starts at a very early age. But I have Scripture to back that up also...
"Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." (Jeremiah 1:5)
But if that seems a little to hard to swallow, try another: "And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him."" (John 9:1-3)
