"I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies: for all my ways are before thee." (Psalms 119:168)
If the times line up just right, then today would be the day that Jesus is to be betrayed; for this would be the day that Judas plotted to turn over Jesus to the ones that wanted to have Him killed. It was no secret from Jesus, because Jesus knew long before that this day was coming. If you study the way that Passover began, it was a very interesting time with very interesting circumstances. Communication between Pharaoh and Moses had been cut off, as Pharaoh had instructed Moses not to show his face to him again, and Moses agreed with what he said. But God was far from done speaking, to not only Moses, but to to entire people of Israel, and even to all of Egypt. What today would be, would be the preparation for the Passover; which is the day when All Firstborn Must Die. Crazy as this might sound, but it was exactly what it says, All Firstborn Must Die! No Way, You Say? Yes, it is as I say, because God specifically said that All Firstborn Must Die; but He made a way out, and He gave very specific instructions on how it was to be done; thus, today is the preparation day for what tomorrow would bring. That is the point of this title and the word I feel God speaking into my heart; that this is a day of preparation, as is every day; a day when we examine the condition that our soul is kept, and consider the eternal standing. The point to this is that of us making sure that we have all things in order; that everything is confessed and all things are safely covered by the blood of Christ. Of all the things that made no sense, but all the sense in the whole scheme of things, was how God had instructed His people to stay behind their closed doors. They were dressed and prepared for travel! In a very similar way, this would be the day that Jesus would do the same with His disciples, to prepare them for what was at hand. How do you prepare someone for what was going to take place, when what is going to take place escapes all there understanding? Quite frankly, it is all in God's hands, so relax and enjoy the ride...
"So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin's control over us by giving us his Son as a sacrifice for our sins." (Romans 8:1-3) NLT
