"I hate and abhor lying: but thy law do I love." (Psalms 119:163)
I you are a fan of Dr. Chuck, then you are familiar with some of his teachings on, "Beyond Space and Time." We have no idea what is waiting ahead, except that our minds will be blown! Paul gives his rendition of what might have been a visit as not a light, but a sound, something that was beyond the ability to translate or share. (2 Corinthians 12:4) Whatever the case may be, whether light or sound, we must know and understand that it is going to be amazing! Glory is a word that puts it lightly, because the four and twenty elders can't say it enough! Let's just say that we are in Good Hands: if the Bible is truth, the only thing that we need to worry about is not believing, because the rest is all up to Him! Given that perspective, we can approach this verse that we have before us from the right side of reality, reality being the sum or aggregate of all that is real or existent, as opposed to that which is merely imaginary. Matthew Henry relates, "lying," as expressed by David, to sin. It should make perfect sense to consider anyone that might think they can get away with sin, to only be lying to themselves; the whole point of Jeremiah 17:9 is that of deceitfulness, which pretty much is all based upon a lie. The word "law" represents instruction or doctrine; in any case, it totally represents direction, as in the direction in which someone is headed or going based upon what you are following. It just so happens, Jesus has a habit of saying, "Follow Me," to almost everyone that He cared about. He also was very informative, saying, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh to the Father, but by me." (John 14:6) We can argue about certain aspects of the rapture or how old the earth actually is, but we cannot touch the importance of following Jesus Christ! You are either with Him or you're not, simple as that...
""He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God."" (John 3:18-21)
