"Liquefaction"

"I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings." (Psalms 77:12) Sometimes you just need to shake things up a little, even if it requires becoming the fool. These are pretty interesting times we are living in. If you would have told me twenty years ago that we would be forcing children to challenge their gender, I would have thought you were mad; but it's happening all over the world. You might think 'forcing' is a pretty strong word to use, but it's not. Oddly enough, we have this thing in us called sin, and sin loves to be stimulated; in fact, it requires very little stimulation to begin to develop into something that cannot any longer be controlled; at least not without some serious intervention. This was something that God warned Cain about, back in Genesis 4:7, saying, "You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be it's master." (NLT) I know there are many out there that don't understand half the things I write; but you need to realize, half of what I write, I barely understand them myself. But, if you are looking for answers to your problems, there is really only one real source to truly find them, the Bible! Unfortunately, just reading the Bible won't help you get the answers you are looking for, not without having someone interpret what you are reading. And even having someone read and explain things to you won't do it either, not unless you have the Interpreter of the Word! Who might that be, you might be wondering? I truly hope that you're not, because that's really not a secret or anything new. Yesterday I mentioned choices having to be made continually, and I should have explained that concept a little further. James gives us some hint to how that works, saying, "For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: for he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was." (James 1:23-24) If you don't see the connection, don't worry, you're really not alone; most of us have selective retention when it comes to remembering things; we can remember what we shouldn't look at, but can't recall why it's not okay to look...    "This change of plans greatly upset Jonah, and he became very angry. So he complained to the LORD about it: "Didn't I say before I left home that you would do this LORD? That is why I ran away to Tarshish! I knew that you are a merciful and compassionate God, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. You are eager to turn back from destroying people. Just kill me now, LORD! I'd rather be dead than alive if what I predicted will not happen." The LORD replied, "Is it right for you to be angry about this?" Then Jonah went out to the east side of the city and made a shelter to sit under as he waited to see what would happen to the city. And the LORD arranged for a leafy plant to grow there, and soon it spread its broad leaves over Jonah's head, shading him from the sun. This eased his discomfort, and Jonah was very grateful for the plant. But God also arranged for a worm! The next morning at dawn the worm ate through the stem of the plant so that it withered away. And as the sun grew hot, God arranged for a scorching east wind to blow on Jonah. The sun beat down on his head until he grew faint and wished to die. "Death is certainly better than living like this!" he exclaimed. Then God said to Jonah, "Is it right for you to be angry because the plant died?" "Yes," Jonah retorted, "even angry enough to die!" Then the LORD said, "You feel sorry about the plant, though you did nothing to put it there. It came quickly and died quickly. But Nineveh has more than 120,000 people living in spiritual darkness, not to mention all the animals. Shouldn't I feel sorry for such a great city?"" (Jonah 4) NLT
