"I sink in the deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into the deep waters, where the floods overflow me." (Psalms 69:2) The point to the closing Scripture was about being kept in the blessings of God, even though it might appear to everyone else, and many times to ourselves, that we are not being blessed. Jesus starts and ends His list of "Blessed are" with what is really important, and that is "The Kingdom of Heaven." Though everything be stripped away, and though life itself might be taken from me, I am blessed by God beyond compare! Nothing that is on this earth can compare to the eternal life that is waiting for us in heaven; not all the wealth in this world, not all the fame, and surely not all the sexual pleasures. By the way, have you noticed how many churches are caving into the whole gay marriage thing? I don't get to listen to the radio much on the weekends, but yesterday I had a chance to listen to a little of "Olive Tree Ministries" "Understanding the Times", and was it ever interesting. It is so important that we find a church that teaching through the Bible, verse by verse, chapter by chapter; because in these last days it is many from the church that will not endure sound doctrne, not the world. The world could care less if the teachings from the Bible are accurate or not, if they even have a chance to listen. We must be alert to the deception of the devil, because he is really stepping things up the closer we ģet to end...
"Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. They will say, "What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created." They deliberately forget that God made the heavens by the word of His command, and He brought the earth out from the water and surrounded it with water. Then He used the water to destroy the ancient world with a mighty flood. And by the same word, the present heavens and earth have been stored up for fire. They are being kept for the day of judgment, when ungodly people will be destroyed." (2 Peter 3:3-7) NLT
