"Our God is There!"
"O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God." (Psalms 68:35) Sooooo, are you saying this place is not a little bit of heaven? There is no comparison between this life and heaven; no way, no how! Typically, the last verse is meant to be the verse that sums up everything, or at least places a period at the end of that Psalm; but this verse is one of those that sets you up for what is ahead. "The True God" is more than just a title, it's a fact that we can bet our life on! The most important thing that we can do as a Believer is to hold to the word of God as God's undeniable truth. In other words, we must take God at His word, and we let His word be the final say in each and every area of our life. No matter what anyone else might say, not even your pastor, or your priest, or a prophet, or even an angel that might appear dressed in shinny white robes; if it does not line up with Scripture, then it is not worth listening to, no way, no how! We have got to be on guard in these last days, because there are more and more people that will be trying to move away from the basic teachings of the Bible, and they will be twisting the Scriptures to blend into the worldly view on everything from life after death, to life, as in what is life and where does it come from. Our life comes from God; and when we are done here, our life will return to God; God controls our very existence! This body is ours, for what it's worth; it's temporary, and it is dying daily; but it is given to us by God for the time we are here as nothing more than a tent for us to move around in on this earth. But this earth is not our home! No matter what they might try to tell you, this is not our final resting place, and God is not in your bowl of Cheerios. People just don't realize who they are messing with if they think that they can mess with God, because God will not be messed with. Yes, heaven is real, but heaven is for those that have eternal life in Christ Jesus; if you're not in Christ, then your not going to go to heaven; soooooo, you had better learn to read your Bible... "And why should we ourselves risk our lives hour by hour? For I swear, dear brothers and sisters, that I face death daily. This is as certain as my pride in what Christ Jesus our Lord has done in you. And what value was there in fighting wild beasts - those people of Ephesus - if there will be no resurrection from the dead? And if there is no resurrection, "Let's feast and drink, for tomorrow we die!" Don't be fooled by those who say such things, for "bad company corrupts good character." Think carefully about what is right, and stop sinning. For to your shame I say that some of you don't know God at all." (1 Corinthians 15:30-34) NLT
