"Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD." (Psalms 106:48)
Regardless what you might think, God's love for us surpasses far beyond anything that we could ever do or dream of doing in our flesh. Sure, there might be punishment and consequences for the sins that we commit, but God is always more than willing to save! As I laid in bed this morning singing to my wife, I was spoken to by God; actually, He began speaking to my heart before my alarm went off at 4:00, 3:45 to be exact; but it wasn't until I turned it off that I began to give attention to my wife. God was showing me something rather interesting, and I prayed to be able to share what He was showing me. The vision was about the fall in the garden; more specific, it was about the difference between Adam and Eve and their willingness to partake of the forbidden fruit. Whether or not Adam had previously been tempted by that same serpent, the Bible does not say; but I am willing to bet that he was, prior to Eve, most likely. But the biggest difference between Adam and Eve and their ability to be deceived was the understanding they both had of God; who God was and all that He was capable of doing. Adam could have never accepted the lie that he could be like God, not the God of all creation. He had to name all the animals, but to create one of them was far outside his pay grade. Besides, Adam was created first, so he was quite aware how things were made, because God made him a woman. The most interesting thing that I saw, was how Adam wanted to eat that fruit more than Eve did, however Adam never had because his love for God was greater than his want to partake. But then God had to go and create for him a woman! A real game changer in his relationship with God. Here is what I believe had happened is change Adam's choice, Eve ate of that apple first; and because Adam loved Eve so much, he was willing to be in whatever state she ended up in. He never left off loving God, but his love for Eve changed the rules, at least in the way that he saw things. Even after their fall, God was still willing and able to save them both. I am more than certain that we will see them in heaven. Whether or not they both have bellybuttons, that we will need to wait to find out. I tend to think that they will, just because of the way that God makes things the way that they are, not the way that they could be...
"For our earthly fathers disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But God's discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in his holiness. No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening -it's painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. Mark out a straight path for your feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong." (Hebrews 12:10-13) NLT
