"They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations." (Psalms 72:5) As if this is the case! I see a lot of people mocking and thwarting, but fear is not exactly the term I would use to say how people respond to the KING OF KINGS; at least not now they don't! Don't you think that it is funny, how sensitive people are to the name Jesus? I mean, you can speak the name God as if you mean it, but as soon as you start using Jesus as the reference, people start getting offended and complain. There really is something about that name! Soooo, maybe this is just a prayer after all? Maybe it's likened to the Prayer Jesus taught His disciples, which He said, "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth, as it is in heaven." It's more about making the request so grand and so over-the-top, that anything between what you are asking for and what you don't realize, will be just fine. Yea, but, God does not play that way! God's will will always triumph, because God always wins! It might not be today or even tomorrow, but in the end, you just wait and see! Every single person that has ever lived, every single life, whether physical, spiritual or even angelic, every knee shall bow and confess that Jesus Christ is LORD! (Philippians 2:9-11) Just so you know, that word "fear" is the dreadful fear, the shock and awe kind of fear. Sure, it includes reverence, and maybe trembling with joy; but for the most part, it's all about terrible fear, the kind of fear that would make a man wish that he were dead; just kill me and get it over kind of fear! You know why that might be? What would be the reason for the same word having two drastically different meanings; but the worst meaning is over 75% of the words meaning? Come on! You can figure this out! It pretty much comes down to 'now or later' kind of fear; as in, you can fear Him now, or you will be frightfully fearful later! The fear that is demonstrated now is the good kind of fear, the fear that has reverence and produces joy and appreciation; but the fear that will be realized later, that will be the kind that produces horror and dread, because then it will be too late...
"You can enter God's Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it." (Matthew 7:13-14) NLT
