"Needy Response"
"When Thou saidst, Seek ye My face; my heart said unto Thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek." (Psalms 27:8) I don't know about you, but my heart melts to this verse. There is just something about knowing how much God wants us to push towards Him; He has created us to not only need Him, but to have free will towards reaching Him. It might be hard to totally grasp what that means, and why it is that something we take for granted, like the ability to choose which direction we will go, can ultimately be the catalyst that propels us into His presence. Just in case you did not understand what I just said, let me break it down into something that can be more easily understood. God is so awesome, He knows exactly what He is doing, you must take the time to totally understand that! He has created us with this thing that is called 'free will'; and, although it was free will that caused man to fall, it is also free will that brings us back into God's presence! On a whole, the ultimate avenue for our turning is the 'free will choice' of Jesus Christ; having been sent by the Father, He still had to make that choice to lay down His own life for our sins: so technically you could say that it was the act of Jesus providing a way for us to completely approach God, that our free will choice to do so was made possible. But nevertheless, it is our choice to do so that is the catalyst to bring us into God's presence; and it is only by our free will that we can enter in; in other words, no one else can decide for us, it is only by our own heart believing and making that choice, that we can enter into the presence of God. What I see in this that God has done, is that He has made our relationship with Him a personal matter; it's something that must be sought by each and everyone of us individually and earnestly. Our relationship with God is not based upon who our parents were, or by any secondhand encounter with someone else that knows God; but it is solely based upon our own hearts responding to His voice, and then choosing to answer and to draw unto Him. In so doing this the way that He has designed it, we all are on the same level of relationship with the God that created us; meaning, that we do not need to have to go through various degrees of progression to enter into His presence; just One, the One who made the way for us to enter in...KING JESUS..."Have ye not known? have ye not heard? have it not been told they from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth? It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: that bringeth the princes to nothing; He maketh the judges of the earth as vanity. Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble. To whom then will ye liken Me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their hosts by number: He calleth them all by names by the greatness of His might, for that He is strong in power; not one faileth. Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgement is passed over from my God?" (Isaiah 40:21-27)
